😍💯🔥 The 5th round of the 2022 @racecoupecup season was honestly one of the most exciting ones. A boiling @thruxtonracing hosted our incredible 3 SPRINTS for us to battle in front of over 15.000 people. The pros of being in the @officialbtrc package!😍 Race 1 didn’t really go as we planned, but could have gone worse. Nearly got a penalty trying to find the biting point of the clutch during the starting procedure and nearly got collected in a small pile up at turn 2. Lost 2-3 places but fought back to position. Congrats to @michael_j_evans and Jon Winter for their awesome start of the race again 🤝 Race 2 was absolutely amazing. We didn’t quite get the result we wanted, but everyone on the grid was on fire (maybe due to the heat🤣) and I never had such exciting battles throughout the season. Jonny Rockett and Alex Cursley gave the beans to their cars, and it was honestly a show to witness. Before the start of the next season, we finally ready to the remaining 4 Races of ur 2022 season! The July 2022 @ka_enduro 9H of @cadwellpark_msv with @autotech.motorsport left us with a bitter taste after our strong performance in Cadwell... After our testing session we were confident our performance would have payed off during the weekend. Thanks to the incredible work of @taylor.norton28 , @andrewstevenhowell and @reecekellow we managed to get a good P8 for the start of our race. As my previous round was the Coupes at Smetterton, I was given the chance to start our race, but before we could even finish our formation lap, our problems sterai began. With a disconnected fuel line, I had to pit to fix the issue, losing the first minutes of the race. From there, everything seemed to be smoother, although the car didn't feel the same. Mid though my stint, I started experiencing some serious overheating issues, and had to pit to swap engine. Stint finished like this, @taylor.norton28 tried to get the car out again but shortly later the same issue arised. With all our spare engines used, we unfortunately had to retire with our first DNF as a team. Huge credit @billyhardyracing, @martin.norton, Scott Lock, @brimmers77 and the rest of the team for the amazing work they've done to keep the car running for the weekend. It's truly mesmerising to watch how quick they can fix an issue. Couldn't be more proud of these people! Thanks to @youknowyusuf @sammy_bryan95 Vicky and all the lads at @autotech.motorsport for helping us drivers at the track. The 4th round of the @racecoupecup was welcomed by a rainy Silverstone for its yearly 45 minutes endurance race. Can't thank @cursleymotorsport enough for his usual incredible service and atmosphere and Lee & @88_jakeboydell for their usual vital support. A very busy testing session gave me confidence for the race although unsure of my true pace, which I still believe I didn't hit all the weekend. Qualifying in the wet mixed the cards for everyone on the grid but thanks to the new found confidence on the wet at Snetterton, I managed to qualify P5 on my last flying lap. We moved on to the start of the race where the track conditions were incredibly variable. I found myself battling with the great Wayne Rockett for the first quarter of the race and I can't thank him enough for the great battle. After an impeccable pitstop performed by @88_jakeboydell and Lee Boydell for both me and @cursleymotorsport, I managed to stay consistent and improve my times lap after lap. I managed to climb up to only 3s from Allistair Dendy and @adamjonesracing, and was settling for position. Two laps before the checkered flag, the front fight got intense and got really close to capitalise it for a first place, but was still super proud of the results. Overall a great weekend, and couldn't be happier of the action. I want to thank again Alex, the guys at @racecoupecup and all the lads (@harvey.cursley.racing; @taylor.norton28 @youknowyusuf for the surprise) I want to thank @prspctv_production and @valentina.catenacci for delivering amazing contentas usual today.
